Just like your lungs are a muscle that can be strengthened, so is your spirit. Just like your lungs are a muscle that can be trained to take deeper breaths and to hold those breaths in a nourishing way, so can you inhale and hold more life. Your capacity for life is bigger than you’ve ever given yourself credit for.
Just like it is easy to forget the power and miracle of our own breath, it is easy to forget that we ourselves are powerful beyond measure. Society and circumstances of life even teach us this, too. We must remember for ourselves that you only forget what you are capable of when you stop reaching for life. Interacting and participating in your own experience.
It is easy to forget what you are made of when you stay in your comfort zone too long, when you spend too much time regretting the past or afraid of the future. In small but meaningful moments, you can literally breathe into more of the life you desire. You can breathe into more possibility, more healing, more radiance and more joy, if that is what you want to hold more of in life.
When you dare to reach for more, when you dare to seek and create more, and when you dare to give yourself permission to, you can hold so much more life than you have allowed yourself to so far. You remember what you are capable of, how far and wide and strong your capacity is, when you keep taking steps that bring you closer to yourself and a life that makes you feel alive. You can hold more blessings, more lessons, more inspiration, and more love. You can receive more.
Next time you take a deep breath and feel your lungs expand, remember this, ”I can hold more life. My capacity is bigger than I realize.”
Get out there and make some Good Light.
